Miami Gay & Lesbian Film Festival (MGLFF) Kicks Off 8th Season
MGLFF kicked off its 8th annual season this week with a fond adieu to 3 retiring members and a warm welcome to 3 new members of our Board of Directors. Retiring are: Mike Perez, after 4 years of service; Rusty Belote (pictured below), after 3 years of service; and Karen Olin, after 1 year of service.
Thanks, Mike, Rusty and Karen for your outstanding community service!

Lindsay Harrison, an attorney whose practice has included representation of the Motion Picture Academy in copyright litigation as well as gay/lesbian civil rights litigation. Lindsay studied cinema/television as an undergraduate at the University of Southern California. |

Michael Tronn, a Miami resident artist and photographer, producer of large social events for gay men such as ANTHEM SUNDAYS. |

Joseph Zamzow, a long-time MGLFF supporter and computer system architect for the airline industry. |

NEW EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE ELECTED FOR 2005-2006 SEASON
Officers for the Board of Directors were elected this week. They are:

** Please note that if you are ultimately elected on to the MGLFF Board you should be available to attend our all-day annual Board of Directors retreat which is scheduled for Sunday, July 24th, so please consider your calendar before you apply.
STAFF ANNOUNCEMENTS
After 3 years of seasonal employment with MGLFF, we are pleased to announce that Kareem Tabsch has been hired as a full-time, year-round member of the MGLFF team. His new title is Festival Manager and he will be working equally on administrative/membership and programming tasks throughout the year. Co-directors Jaie Laplante and Carol Coombes remain in their roles as Director of Festival Operations and Program Director, respectively.
