You've seen their pictures a thousand times. They've been
honored, feted and sometimes, roasted. But do you know who
they are? She was a working mother who owned a vintage
clothing & costume store frequented by drag queens on the old
Lincoln Road and he was the vintage record store owner around
the corner on Alton. Today he is a successful attorney and she is
a Miami Beach doyenne with a Sub-Zero sized Rolodex. They are
champions of the arts, equal rights, and civic responsibility
including being on the boards of the Aqua Foundation for
Women, South Florida Arts Center, Miami Beach Cultural Arts
Council, Miami Beach Community Health Center and Miami Beach
Development Corporation. It was their cousin, Robert Rosenberg,
who had the inspiration and fortitude to conceive the Miami Gay &
Lesbian Film Festival ten years ago. They have been
avid supporters ever since. Here are two people that make a
difference by being who they are and, in doing so, make a
difference in all of our lives. Thank you, Danny and Merle Weiss.
