Getting off to an urgent start, Victor, a kidnapped Spanish writer, is about to be executed by the totalitarian Argentine military. Barefoot and beaten, his torturers order him to walk toward a streetlight down the road. As he does this, however, Victor walks toward Machulenco, which is the name of one his scripts and a place that does not exist but will be his salvation.
